I had been in the garden for awhile so i decided to app for this card since it has some good cash back categories as well as decent welcome bonus of $350 dollars. However I was kind of taken back by the small SL of 2000 with a good APR of 13.99% when my DP are pretty good. I have 5% utilization due to a promotional purchase on levin, with a mortgage and car loan on my report so nothing too out of the ordinary with Income of 110k/yr. Could it be because this is my first account with them? I will of course ask for a CLI when i get the card and 3x at 61 days but still seems odd.
Congrats on your approval!

Congrats on the BCP approval ! Assuming that you have good payment history with them and that your income supports it ( which it looks like it does ) then I'd for sure try for a CLI as soon as you are elligible

Thanks, I'd assume it's because i don't have an established relationship with them but I will definitely grow the card.
Congratulations on getting your first amex card. base on your other credit limits what they gave you is in line. If you spend and pay off then Amex will increase your credit limit. You nay want to request credit increases on your other card only if it is soft pull.
Congratulations on your Amex approval!

Congratulations on the card! 🎉🍾 I got mine last month and am enjoying the benefits so far. I am surprised at the low SL, I got an $8K SL with same salary as you, 5-7% utilization, 18% DTI, and FICO scores between 663-684. As I've said before, credit is so fickle and it's a puzzle how things work out. Hopefully you'll get some good CLI's over the next year to bring you to limits that match your financial bandwidth. In the meantime, ENJOY!!![]()
That's terrific!! Congratulations on your AMEX Approval!! 🎉🥂👏
Grats on your BCP approval!!
