Today I requested a credit line increase afther reducing my balance with amex, ask a 5,700 increase (4.3 k to 10K) and was approved instanly

Thanks, because I don't what to get close to the 24K limit with AMEX, after that number they start asking for tax and income info, 16K is fine for me for now!!

That's a myth Isacking97. There's no magic number where they asked for verification. I don't know where folks keep getting that information. It's not true. lol
The truth is that ceiling moves up the longer you're a member and using the card. 2.9 yrs ago I got the verification screen requesting $20k. As the months went by the verification ceiling continued to move up. Exposure is over $67,000 now...no verification. I started at $4,000.
