Hello all,
Haven't posted on here since I was a young naïve credit builder but I've recently started progressing in the game again so I thought I'd share my recent success(es).
My secondary checking account is with Chase but I had yet to have any lending relationship with them. They kept tempting me with pre-approvals on the app, so eventually I relented and applied for the CFU earlier this week - approved with a 2k limit.
However, I was still craving more. After watching a bunch of AskSebby videos, I decided to check my AMEX pre-quals. Clicked on the AMEX Delta Platinum, knowing that I don't travel much but I do want to travel more. It said I was pre-approved! Pulled the trigger and got an $8200 limit, by far the most of any card I have, I was quite shocked. They used to hate my profile when I was building so I got declined for various tiers of the AMEX Delta card in years past. Probably would have made more sense to apply for the Gold with my current spending habits but I'll get the intro offer and figure the rest out down the road.
DP's:
720 Experian (Taken from their website, not the applications)
1 inquiry (The Chase card I just got approved for, hasn't begun reporting yet)
1% Utilization
Existing cards:
8 month old AMEX Gold
13 month old CapOne SavorOne
CapOne QuickSilver, AMEX ED, and Local CU card, all from 2018
Congratulations on your approvals!
Yay! Congrats on the new Amex. Happy *future* travels!
Congrats on your new Delta Platinum!
Congrats on your Platinum approval 👍🏼
I just got the Delta Gold, applied thru credit karma low sl $1000. I wished I would've apped for the platinum, the Gold doesn't have allot of rewards, but free checked bag. 1st year no annual fee, you live and learn.
Congratulations on your Delta Platinum Approval 👍

Congrats, personally I think the Gold would have made more sense for me just because of the extra spending bonus; $100 flight credit for spending $10k in a year is a lot easier than 10k MQMs for spending $25k. I also tend to go with AirBNB over hotels. But oh well, I'll find a way to make it work, haha
Nice work! That's a great card to add to the portfolio. Enjoy!
