@jjohnson ohhhhh yes it works s long s your score stays the same or higher.
i started at 3500 on my BCE (with a triple pull 696 TU fico and 149k income at that time)and after 61 days, I got it to 10,500... then after 181 days, I asked for 24,500 and it's been there ever since. At one point I used amex for everything and pif every month, but then started getting better cash back etc, THey watch you like a hawk too! I moved from a texas suburb to a large city once and they tried to CLD my 24,500 to 1500 It hink it was based on zipcode change. got them to reinstate but good lord it was annoying. i ran probably 10-20K through that card a yer which is a lot to me.
also noteworthy: amex is known to ask for tax returns if you start to get in the 30-40k CL range... so I ws strategic because I also have a 5k CL Delta Gold that I wanted an increase on and raised that to 10k after a few months. and then opened a 2k hilton surpass, after that which was in excess of 35k, I stopped asking for CLIs because my tax documents are sensitive and I'm satified with that amount of credit.
so imo, don't try to get more than 25/30k on one card or more than about 35-40K total amex exposure or be preapred to show them your taxes. lol Good luck :-)
PS: since you started out w 5k CL with Delta Gold, sk for 15k after 61 dys or two statement, maybe even three considering the fuzzy math, but six months after that I would not ask for more than 25k to avoid them requesting taxes or "financial reviewing" you and wanting your first new born (ieven ifit has not happened LOL)
