That approval is fantastic. I bet the denial in May doesn't sting so much now does it? Congrats ![]()
Congrats on the great offer. In retrospect, good thing you were denied previously.
That's one heck of an offer, congrats!!!
Excellent welcome offer with a super reasonable spend goal too. Congratulations. Nice to see that an earlier denial ended up turning into a better deal than it would have been in the first place.
Sweet, sweet victory! Congratulations on a redeeming approval!!

Congratulations on the approval! Now you've got me wanting to hit apply. My pre-qual isn't as good, 60k for 4k spend over 6 months. But I'm quite certain I'm still on their internal blacklist. So, on the one hand, no harm in trying I suppose... but risk the HP if I'm off the blacklist (and breaking my garden goal). Decisions decisions.

Congrats.. Probably only thing that has changed is the economy is recovering and is more certain than when they denied you in the past as unemployment is dropping and jobs are coming back, etc.. So UW probably is loosening up a bit for some lenders? Enjoy and nice bonus!

Congrats on your approval, I'm only getting the 60k offer if I got that 75k I might have pulled the trigger on it.
Thanks for the good wishes and validation, @Mahraja, @Anonymous, @nuohlac, @CreditCuriosity, @Anonymous!
I trusted my gut instinct RAJ and it worked out!
Yes, agreed CC that the economy is recovering somewhat but also it seems they are more interested in new business.
For those only getting the 60K offer right now, that is still a very good offer. The 75K is just exceptional and isn't seen much apparently. That's why I was so astonished and grateful to get it! But 60K is certainly worth considering also! I zeroed in on the 75K Gold offer, but if I remember correctly, my Platinum offer yesterday was only 60K and sometimes is said to get up to 100K or higher.

Congrats!
Glad to see that Amex righted their wrong. That denial back in May was a real head-scratcher. Maybe the extra 25k MR points are their way of apologizing. 😉

Don @Aim_High went to the mattresses and Killed It !!! Congratulations !
Thanks @CreditAggie, @Curious_George2, @ocheosa! It's fun to share our successes!
Lol, yes I thought the same thing with that sweetened offer Curious_George2, that it was almost like an enticement or apology for the earlier denial! I took it as a sign that it was the right thing to do.

@Anonymous wrote:Well you have to listen to the Don or you will be sleeping with fishes or a horse head in your bed. Congratulations, welcome back to Amex family. 75k mr is beyond amazing. I tried Amex and the highest for me was 60k. I love that you got it stretched for 6 months too. So gardening til April still on? Lol.
Lol, this is true @Anonymous! Thanks very much!
Now as for the gardening, is anything ever for sure? ![]()
After all, this is My Fico Forums!
But yes, I have no plans for new apps for awhile. If nothing else I have SUBs to fulfill still on my Wells Fargo Cash Wise, Bank of America Premium Rewards, and AMEX Gold that will take a few months. ($500, $3000, and $4000 spending.)
Plus, if I wait until next April, I will have six less new accounts (within one year) which will improve odds of any approvals.
On the other hand, if I get solicitations from lenders I plan to apply with anyway, I might make exceptions.
Bank of America is showing me one right now in my sign-in page.
Temptations, temptations!
