AMEX PRG Approved

Applied for this card last night after some hesitation. Was going to wait for the changes to come in, but the 50K for $2,000 spend popped up in incognito and my girlfriend convinced me to do it. Glad I did because I was instantly approved. This card is going to be perfect for me when the new changes roll out so it was sort of just a matter of when.

With that said, any AMEX people happen to know if it'll be easy to switch over to the new metal card once they start issuing them? Just a phone call or?

Re: AMEX PRG Approved

Congrats on your Amex Gold Card approval! The new changes will be pretty sweet as long as Amex doesn't increase the annual fee! Smiley Very Happy

Re: AMEX PRG Approved

Ive been on the fence all week about this card and im prequalified on their site.  On one hand I dont want to miss out on this 50k offer and first year waived if they change it, but ill be really disappointed if I app and then they raise the AF or remove the arline credit.  Im leaning toward waiting until after the announcement or at least until the structure rumors have been confirmed and its adventageous to app before Oct 4.

Congrats!!!

Yes it will be an easy phone call to switch to the metal as long as there's enough supply Smiley Indifferent

Amex ran into some supply snafu last year when the metal platinum card was released. Hopefully they'll anticipate a spike in demand for the PRG/Gold card this time around.

Congrats on your approval and welcome to the AMEX family! Scuttlebutt around here and known sites is transition should be somewhat seamless similar to the Hilton rollout. Time will tell.

BRING ON THE METAL!
