App'd online today for the 100K sign up bonus and was instantly denied. My scores are all 715+ so I was worried that the 12 month reply wasn't true and instead I was in fact on their naughty list. But after being denied I received an email from Experian that they had blocked an attempt on my credit. I completely forgot that I had lcoked my report. Whelp, one click later and a phone call to resubmit, I was approved 30 seconds later and back to using the AMEX.
Now time to see if they will backdate the card to my first AMEX in 2013.

I am going to say yes. I was a Amex Card member a LONG time ago ('92) and I dont recall when I closed it, probably a few years later and didn't apply for an AMEX again until Jan. 2019 and when the card came, it said "Member since 92".
