Well I figured I would give Amex another shot with the Every Day card and was approved. They gave me a $500 CL. That is less than 25% of my lowest CL.. It kinda hurt to start with such a low limit and after reading they do not recon initial limits I need to find a good way to use this card with out spooking them.
If i was to use this card all month long I would need to make several payments monthly to keep zeroing the balance.
For you experienced Amex users how would you suggest using a $500cl CC to get the most LUV from them in the future?
Congrats on the approval.. That low limit allows you a lot of room to play with when it comes to 3XCLI in 61 days. I wouldn't let the approval get to me if I were in your shoes. You should have a big line by years end so hang in there...

The limit hurt for the first hour but I got over it. I just want to know how does AMEX like you to use their card.. Should I use it moderatly and let the balance ride all month or Max it out several times with multiple payments a month.
I am just glad I am in the door

I suggest you use it heavily and pay before statememt closes... Depending on your credit profile, you can let a small balance report and then pay it off before the before or on the due date.

Use it alot, that is what they what, they want their swipe fees.. Pay it off several times a month. I pay my Amex Bills on alot higher limit ED card everytime anything posts personally. So If I go out to eat on friday and saturday and log on tues and see it has posts, I just pay it then so I never really run a balance and just PIF everything I have something on it. Show them you have the abilility to pay multiple times a month as 500$ won't be hard to come close to maxing out multiple times a month and pay it off then after 61 days you should be absle to get 1500... after 180 day from that you should be able to get 4500 then 180 days after that if you so choose get 13500, etc.
Congrats on approval! At least you're in the door with AMEX.
You should certainly read up in the 61 day 3X CLI thread. IIRC, AMEX doesn't always budge easily when you get the lower CL approvals, but it's worth trying. This way, you'll at least know what improvements AMEX wants to see.
congrats on the approval!
