AMEX app with approval of low limit.

Congrats on your approval to the Amex... i believe i read a post about someone getting approved for a low limit and also requesting an increase about a week into using the card. check the forums just to be sure.

Just an FYI, you can't pay more than once until the first statement cut. You will probably be close to maxed until the new statement is generated. Even with second card and existing bank account. I was told I could make multiple payments the first month. But if you don't have a balance showing, gotta wait. I personally called in and had payment forced (foreign reps have the capability), in order to free up credit.
