Well well, it looks like I was just approved by Capital One for a credit line increase! The credit limit on my card was $500 when I was approved for the card in the 4th quarter of 2012. Then after a few months of successul payments they auto increased it to $750. I had another Capital One card that started off at $500 too when I got It in 2009. It seems that with Capital One, after that first CL increase, they don't give you ANY more auto-CLI. You have to actually fight your way through frontline CSRs to get to the actual people who are even worth speaking to about CLIs.
Thanks to the people of this board for providing me with Capital One's E.O. number, I was able to get that CLI. I called them and spoke to a nice woman oer the phone and she agreed to have the CLI request looked at and asked me for the amount of the CLI I was looking for. Someone on the boards told me to ask for $5000, but I just asked for $2500, and she said she'll call me back in a few days. A few days later (during Christmas holiday) I just randomly checked my Capital One account for something and was stunned by the new limit.... $2000! You hardly see a Capital One account's limit $2000 or above that! Then, a few hous later, I got a call from Capital One's E.O. to notify me of the increase. They said they couldn't do the $2500 right now, but they did $2000 and if I want to apply again, just keep the account in good standing and I can even request for a higher amount!
Thanks again for all the help, because Capital One is known for not budging at all with CLIs.
Also, it looks like the REAL "luv button" when it comes to CLIs, are the "buttons" on your phone's dialpad to call the Executive Office, LOL!
