Just wanted to throw a data point out there as I have learned (and am still learning) so much from these posts.
Back in September I was approved for the Ally 2% Inlimited cash back card. $2,000 SL, 0% interest for 15 months. It was my first CC application (pre-approval mailer invite) in a long time, due to a lot of poor stuff on my record. My scores were just over around 695-710, but still had a number of collections reporting.
My 6 month statement just cut and it reported a $1200 balance. (Overall utilization sitting at 33%). My scores have dropped about 10 points since September. Irregardless, happy to see an auto increase e-mail with a bump of $1300. New CL now sitting at $3300. Yay! That will help with utilization on this card and plan to reduce it further in a couple of weeks.
From these groups, I knew they would do an auto review, but wasn't sure I'd get it as obviously my utilization on this card was high. Still sitting with 4 items in collection, but all pushing 6-7 years. Still learning and waiting for stuff to drop and/or decide what/how to clean up remaining items, but that's another story for another time...
