AmEx EveryDay Preferred / Chase Freedom + Sapphire Preferred approvals

Hi everyone,

I've only just recently found this site, but have already learned quite a bit.  Thanks again to everyone who provides such helpful insight.

Here is a link to the first thread I started over in the "Credit Cards" forum.

I was just instantly approved for the AmEx EveryDay Preferred.  I asked this in the other thread as well: for some reason, I can't seem to find my CL.  I don't see it listed either on the approval screen or in the confirmation email I received.  Am I just blind?

I then applied for the Chase Freedom and was instantly approved.  $8,000 CL, 13.99% APR.

I then applied for the CSP and got the dreaded 7-10 day message.  Should I be looking for an email or for regular mail from them?  Should I call them right away for a reconsideration?  I realize it's past business hours, plus it's the long holiday weekend, so I probably wouldn't be able to get anyone on the phone until Tuesday...  I was pretty bummed, as I was really hoping for the CSP Smiley Sad

I then requested a CLI on my BankAmericard Cash Rewards and was instantly approved.  My previous CL was $1,600.  I requested $15,000 (LOL).  But, my new CL is $5,200.

For context, I'll cut and paste some of the info I shared in the other thread (as of this morning):

I requested my credit reports from annualcreditreport.com.  I was able to view Experian pretty quickly...it downloaded within a couple minutes.  I'm still waiting on TransUnion - has been "loading" for about 10 minutes now.  I'll get Equifax after that.

I then purchased my scores through this website.  The results are noted in my updated signature: EQ 779, TU 762, EX 795.  The only negative listed across the board: TU notes my limited credit history (my oldest account is 9 years 1 month, however because of graduate student loans, etc., my AAoA is only 3 years).  0 missed payments across the board.  The ratio of my revolving balances to my credit limits is 1% across the board.  0 inquiries in the past year.  My "risk rate" is listed as 2% across the board.

Income is $55,000 / yr.

3 revolving accounts under EQ, TU and EX.  42 installment accounts under EQ, 38 installment accounts under TU and 37 installment accounts under EX.

Re: AmEx EveryDay Preferred / Chase Freedom approvals

Congrats on your new cards.

I was able to see my Amex CL by requesting the cardnumber online. It said something about if you want to use your amex card right now for online purchases to request your card number. When I did, it showed my CL. I took a screen shot of it but the funny think was the the security code (CID) did not match my actual card, so when I tried to set up my amex online account it locked me out because of the incorrect cid code. LOL

Just call Chase recon line for the CSP. Most likely just needs a manual review.

Thanks!

I was not able to login online yet, so I called the number given (1-800-567-1083) and went through a set of automated messages.  I found out that my CL is $2,000.  Apparently I might have to wait up to 24 hours before I'm able to log into my online account.

Re: AmEx EveryDay Preferred / Chase Freedom / Sapphire Preferred approvals

Update:

I called the Chase recon line regarding the 7-10 day wait message I received with respect to the Sapphire Preferred.  He was able to locate my Freedom approval, but had no record of any Sapphire Preferred application at all.  He said that the application must have "failed in process" and told me to reapply.  As a point of interest, I applied for the Freedom, was approved, did not close or restart my browser (I just opened a new tab), went to apply for the Sapphire Preferred (I was not required to input my information again - it was a one-click submission) then received the 7-10 day wait message.

Anyway, I opened a new browser and went to apply for the Sapphire Preferred.  I input all of my info, click submit and was instatntly approved for $11,000 Smiley Happy

I already called Chase and requested that they expedite both the Freedom and the CSP (they won't be here until Wednesday of next week given the holiday weekend).

So, to recap: I previously had only one credit card: my BofA BannkAmericard Cash Rewards, with a $1,600 CL.

I now have: AmEx EveryDay Preferred - $2,000 CL; Chase Freedom - $8,000 CL; Chase Sapphire Preferred - $11,000 CL; and BofA BankAmericard Cash Rewards - $5,200 CL.

Not bad, eh?  Smiley Wink

Thanks again for all of the helpful advice.  I would not have applied for anything were it not for the info on these boards.  Looking forward to treating these cards well Smiley Happy
