Amazon Prime Rewards Card Approval

I was in the Garden since last August, and decided to come out for a $150 Amazon gift card offer with their Prime Rewards card. I had an instant approval for $5k, but the CL in my Chase account shows $22.1k. Not sure if it is a glitch, but doesn't really matter to me. I'm only going to be using it at Amazon, so it feels like a waste of a nice metal card. I would have done the store card, but it was only offering me a $25 gift card.

Anyway, back to the Garden again. I'll be 2/24 in September, so I'll be in prime (no pun intended) position to see if there is anything else I'm interested in. I might be considering a free night hotel card next.

Congrats on the approval!!! It's not a mistake. The $5k was temp limit until you activate card. A security precaution. Enjoy!!

YW!! While that limit may seem too generous for normal spend, card gives other offers that can be used throughout year. Elevated earnings, special promos. Some are really nice, even if it's only Amazon CB.

Interesting. It sounds like it is sort of like my Best Buy Visa, where they periodically send out offers to get me to use it outside of Best Buy. My favorite has been spend $100 outside of Best Buy and get a $50 certificate.

I have both as well. BB is a good comparison.
