Amazon Store CLI

It's just my lucky week in credit guys. Kind of leery because "nothing gold can stay" haha.

Requested a CLI on my synch Amazon - requested total line of 3k from 1.2K and was instantly approved!

I know people say to aim high, but 3k on an amazon is enough for me. Plus, I have another synch card at $1000, and I want to keep exposure with them at a minimum.

Scores in signature are updated, and for DPs I asked before new statement cut/paid off so it was approved with a current 50% balance.

Re: Amazon Store CLI

Good Job! I agree with you that exposure should be limited with Sync.

I only have one card with them Sam's Club MC which I got recently in  free membership deal they had in store.

Re: Amazon Store CLI

What do you mean by limiting exposure with synchrony. I have a care credit and amazon account with them and just increases to 6K each. Is that a bad thing?

Re: Amazon Store CLI

From what I've read on synchrony trends (not my own experience) Synchrony has gotten a reputation for closing all of a users accounts for various reasons lilke exposure, high balances, etc. Basically they would send you a letter in a "blue envelope" letting you know they were shutting you down. I've also read that it seems to be triggered by getting or upgrading too a Visa or MC with them.

While this has happened to people, none of can really say for certain for causes it. Kind of like a myFico ghost story haha.

I have just made a choice to try to lay low with them and not to put all my eggs in the synchrony basket because if for some reason they were to be closed, I don't want my utililzation to tank. Others have done the same. Just because you have a larger exposure to them does not mean anything bad will happen to you, it's just something to keep in mind.

Congrats OpSmiley Happy.

Synchrony has its moods but so does everyone else, use them tesponsibly and most times you will be fine. Ive had 6-7 Sync accounts and have never had any issues, and i make way less than most here so even if you had 10k in limits you should be okSmiley Wink

Re: Amazon Store CLI

Good to know thanks. I was just approved for PayPal MasterCard Extras and it was a low SL of $700. When the card comes I was going to request a cli by phone and see what happened but hearing this I might wait.

Re: Amazon Store CLI

i have 70,000 worth of credit with sync. i use all my cards with them and keep them paid off. income is 53,000 a year, score is always near the mid 700's. if they blue envelope me oh well. I get my cards that i have with them  to have nice high limits and im not worried. They have been good to me and its not to say i would be reckless with them, thats why i keep them paid off for the most part(carried a balance a few times)and keep my score from dropping as much as i can and just hope for the best. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why people's cards were getting shut down, so i figured i am just going to act with sync how i act with any other bank. congrats!
