Just applied for the Amazon Store Card as I plan on buying a high-end guitar and really love the no interest, monthly payment plans this card has to offer. I applied online and was approved for $1700. Since I was hoping for more for more options to buy my dream Taylor, I decided to call Synchronicity not even 10 minutes after being approved online to feel them out about a recon on my CL.
Told the lady my story about my reason for an immediate increase and said I had cards that had upwards of 12,500 CL's already and she asked how much I wanted, so I stayed a bit conservative and asked for $5000. I made sure to ask if it would be hard pull or soft pull and she said soft pull. So i went for it, and after 30 seconds on hold, came back to "Congratulations, you've been approved for the $5000!" I was shocked at how easy it was, especially for a soft pull.
I then asked what their policy was on CLI's and if they ever become hard pull etc. and she told me as long as you're a member of the bank, you can request CLI's at any moment in any amount of time and it's ALWAYS a soft pull. Can anyone else clarify this? Obviously I won't push my luck, but seems a bit insane. I guess I'll find out soon if it was truly a soft pull. Still stoked though!
Yes, it was a soft pull.
You can call every day and request a CLI.
They'll say no until your fourth statement. After your fourth statement cuts, call them and get a CLI.
After your eighth statement cuts, call them and get a CLI.
After your twelfth statement cuts, well, you get the idea.

I'm pretty sure folks have called Credit Solutions and gotten CLIs without having to wait four months. The four month wait generally does apply to the CLI "button" on most Synchrony websites, though (at least in my personal experience).
I'll let others chime in on their Credit Solutions CLIs... others will have recent feedback on this.

I haven't seen them make you wait till your 4th statement..they didn't for me.
