So I last applied for Amazon store card back in October 2014, when I just started rebuilding my credit. Today, 5 months later, I was finally approved!!
My approval amount was only $600 but I am happy that I can see the impact my good credit behavior has on my credit now. I am finally getting approved for decent cards with decent limits. Hopefully one day I will have 1 card @ $5k limit, not there yet but close @ $2k.
For those who are discouraged, time heals all...Start off small and work your way up, it's worked for me and many others.
Here's a quick rundown of my history..
My current myFico scores are as follows: TU/613 EQ/613 EXP/633'
Utilization is @ 4%
1x CapitalOne Platinum @ $2k limit
1x CapitalOne Platinum @ $1.5k limit
1x CapitalOne QS @ $1.5k limit
1x CreditOne @ $700 limit
1x Barclays Rewards @ $1k limit
1x Chase Slate @ $500 limit
1x Auto Lease from Lexus $13k
3x baddies dropping on 1/2016
Most recent late payment = 4.5 years ago
AAOA = 3 years
Do ya'll suggest I stop applying? I know I said yesterday I would, but I read all this talk from the forums about love from Synchrony...do you think I can call them to bump up the credit line? or is it too soon?
I have 3 baddies over 4 years old, all which will drop off in Jan/2016. Kind of off topic, but once those 3 collection accounts drop, should I see a nice jump in my score? Also by then, all the accounts above will have matured to +1 year or so..
Nice.. Congrats..
Congrats on the approval!
Congrats on your Amazon store card approval and your progress. I would garden a bit if I were you. It won't hurt to call and ask for a CLI since it's an SP. Don't be discouraged if they say no, just hang out and build your scores.
If those are the only derogs you have on your CR when the last one drops is when you will see the biggest Fico bump, grats on the Amazon card and give Credit Solutions a call if you want a higher limit
Congrats.
Congrats OP!
No offense OP, I am surprised your scores are as lowest as they are with only what you mentioned as negatives on your report... My report is uglier than yours and I am at around 670's-700 on all CRA's... Tons of 120 lates on student loans and a few CA's and CO's all over 4 years old.. Strange how you are impacted more so than myself.. Is your AAoA really low and tons of inquires?
Regardess you are doing the right thing and it takes a long time for scores to go up, but only one mess up for them to plumit!

Hey no offense taken. I have a few 90 days and 120 days, that are not in 'collections' but show as 120 or 90 day late. I do have history on accounts that are 8+ years old from being an AU. But seriously, that is all I have in my report. 3 collections and some late payments that are 4+ years old...I don't know why my scores are much lower than yours
Congrats on the Amazon approval. I love my Amazon store card and even more so now since it was upgraded to the Prime Version for 5% cash back.
