@CreditCuriosity wrote:Congrats @FinStar always amazing seeing what you come up with w/regards to approvals and getting a 6th revolver with Amex is certainly awesome and near impossible as well, but it is true if they like a person enough their is really no limit of the number they will approve as you have shown. Wonder what will come next when EQ finally gets fixed for you?
Thank you for the nudge btw CC! Yeah, me and EQ are not exactly BFFs (as you well know), but we will see. There's a few possibilities, but I'll let those ride for right now until the issue gets fixed.
As far as the 6th revolver, I remember some folks around here like @Anonymous having that in their wheelhouse. So, in prior threads I mentioned I wanted to test the waters . Funny that SPG never materialized for me (no HP but declined last year due to miscalculation on the application rules - whoopsie), then the SUB ineligibility when I tried a few days ago, but it's all good. EDP will work just fine I might try for a 7th (just as a GP) on the biz side.
Congrats @FinStar I hope you were able to get the first year AF waived. With no sub, i wouldnt have gotten mine without the AF waive.
As far as the 6th revolver, i'm sure your scores and such did that. My last 4 i did as 2 same day approvals once the pre-approval showed up again. it took them an extra week to send the last approved card (HIlton). Guess they were deciding if i should be allowed to have it. I have a feeling if i were to go after anything else besides charge, i'd have to give up 2 for them to approve one.
Congrats my friend on the amazing approvals!! Some of us aren't meant to be gardeners. Some of us are crop pickers. You sir just picked some pretty sweet fruit!

Hey @Anonymous thank you! Yup, 1st year AF is waived for sure. Honestly, I dunno how it happened, but I think having the pre-approved offer nudged it in the right direction I suppose. But, I would've liked the SPG and the SUB ...oh well, sometimes you win some and you lose some 😁
Have you tried to see if you could get a 7th one without having to forego any existing ones? In my case, I'd only try it if I have the pre-approved offer.
Brilliant @FinStar Congratulations I think you made excellent choice by going with TYP just as you planned few months ago. The 6th American express is actually not as hard as people think it is all they want is business simple is that I already have 6 Amex revolvers on business side..in past 18 months I switched between 13 Amex cards closing one waiting 30 days applying another LOL once you have strong payoff history with them they are super easy to play with.. Congrats again Fin now swing the bat and hit another i am going to get Union and key bank Fin you coming ??

Well in honor of our friend @Anonymous, congrats Finny🥓🥓🥓🥓😁
Thats a great read . Lol, truth be told i hit the app button for SPG since its going away but im a) too poor for Amex and b) ever since i got my loan from them, too poor for even cli. Ah well, no hp, no foul.
Enjoy your new kids
And an honor indeed
Thanks @AverageJoesCredit. Yeah, I guess SPG was just not meant to be for us. It's all good. In my eyes, you're not poor. You're very much rich with energy, wisdom, support and compassion. Which is far greater than any AmEx card (or any CC) could ever provide

Thank you Raj! or better yet, M8
What I'll probably do is PC one of my Citi CCs to the Rewards one at some point. I haven't decided which one will jump into the volcano as the sacrificial one See, I knew you'd probably already have a vast array of products with AmEx so this was kinda new territory for me with the 6th revolver, but like you said, it's definitely doable.
Sounds like you've got your sleeves rolled up for the next round I have Union Bank Rewards (got that one last year) and Key Bank, well ... I have to fix some things with EQ since it had "the splits" .. It's a very contagious EQ virus lol
I can't wait to see your next round of approvals!
