Congrats Fin, it looks like everyone is getting in on some new cards lately.

I'm really trying but I can't pull the trigger.

Are there any prospects for you on the horizon @redpat?

Congrats @FinStar - Definitely got a good haul on these 3 cards. I've been thinking of possibly getting the Platinum myself but with the way my expenses/travel/etc. are now, I havn't been able to justify the AF yet.

Thanks @xaximus.  Yeah I guess the only downside on the Ameriprise version is that the AF is no longer waived the 1st year which was a decent 'perk' for some who were on the fence on eventually keeping the card or just taking it out for a test drive the first year.

Amex Platinum is on the short-short list, however, I'll likely go with the Schwab version as I have an existing relationship with them.

TYP is on my "if I'm out of the garden I might as well get it" list.  For me, its biggest benefit is the broad "travel" category.  Now, if can I hold out until August when I'll no longer be LOL/24, I'll be going after the CSR, pushing this card down near the bottom of the wish list.

Congrats @FinStar always amazing seeing what you come up with w/regards to approvals and getting a 6th revolver with Amex is certainly awesome and near impossible as well, but it is true if they like a person enough their is really no limit of the number they will approve as you have shown.  Wonder what will come next when EQ finally gets fixed for you?Smiley Happy

Thank you for the nudge btw CC!   Yeah, me and EQ are not exactly BFFs (as you well know), but we will see.  There's a few possibilities, but I'll let those ride for right now until the issue gets fixed.

As far as the 6th revolver, I remember some folks around here like @Anonymous having that in their wheelhouse.  So, in prior threads I mentioned I wanted to test the waters Smiley Tongue.  Funny that SPG never materialized for me (no HP but declined last year due to miscalculation on the application rules - whoopsie), then the SUB ineligibility when I tried a few days ago, but it's all good.  EDP will work just fine Smiley Wink   I might try for a 7th (just as a GP) on the biz side.

Congrats @FinStar  I hope you were able to get the first year AF waived. With no sub, i wouldnt have gotten mine without the AF waive.

As far as the 6th revolver, i'm sure your scores and such did that.  My last 4 i did as 2 same day approvals once the pre-approval showed up again.  it took them an extra week to send the last approved card (HIlton). Guess they were deciding if i should be allowed to have it. I have a feeling if i were to go after anything else besides charge, i'd have to give up 2 for them to approve one.

Hey @Anonymous thank you!   Yup, 1st year AF is waived for sure. Honestly, I dunno how it happened, but I think having the pre-approved offer nudged it in the right direction I suppose.  But, I would've liked the SPG and the SUB Smiley Tongue...oh well, sometimes you win some and you lose some 😁

Have you tried to see if you could get a 7th one without having to forego any existing ones?  In my case, I'd only try it if I have the pre-approved offer.

@FinStar  I don't have any pre-approvals except all the charge cards now.  I'm not sure if that is due to having 6 already, or my profile in general.  They dont really have another card i want, since i basically have one of each as is Smiley Very Happy

@Anonymous  I would definitely go with the Schwab version.  I'll probably wait things out since I already have the Schwab Investor Card and may likely keep the Ameriprise version.  It would just depend on what SUBs would be available in a year from now.  Definitely go for TYP once you're out of the garden if you can.  I already have one (legacy AmEx version) and this recent TYP approval will be its "cousin" and compliment Prestige.

Good luck on your future prospects though Smiley Happy

@Anonymous  I guess 6 is as good as anything especially if those already cover anything you need spend-wise.  I think I did another "oopsie" so I'll post later LOL Smiley Very HappySmiley Tongue
