Amex BCP Approval

Decided last night to re-assess my card usage plan of attack with the upcoming Freedom category changes if they hold true.  With that in mind, decided to pick up the Blue Cash Preferred.  Instant approval.  Just as a point of reference, I didn't have any pre-qualified offers, I NEVER do from Amex.  Anyway, looking forward to it, I think it'll fit nicely in my lineup.  Hotels, flights, groceries, gas, dinner, miscellaneous stuff ... got it all covered, I think Smiley Wink

Re: Amex BCP Approval

Congrats on your approval! Do you know your limit? For my spending habits, I think the BCP is one of the best cash back cards out there IMO

Congrats.

IDK but I think EDP MR is a better combo w/ Amex plat for MR reasons.  Plus, you can squeeze 1.5 to 1.9 cents out of each MR point.

I flipped a coin on the EDP vs. BCP, EDP won.

That's a great point, and I deffinitely thought about it. I figured with my other cards in use, I would never swipe the ED 30 times a month, plus, I'm never going to really use the platinum all that much, mainly just for the travel perks and credits, once in a while I'll whip it out to actually use, but not too much. That's why I pulled the trigger on the BCP in the end.
