Amex BCP approval

So after being approved in November for the Total Rewards Visa Sig card and in December for the Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Sig card I decided to apply for a Amex card. I've never had one and wanted to get one because I just got a membership to Costco and thats the only credit card they accept. I was trying to decide between applying for the True earnings card, the BCE, or the BCP. I finally decided on the BCP because the rewards structure would fit me best. I apped tonight not really expecting to be approved since in the past 6 months I have opened 2 new credit cards (as mentioned above) and purchased a new car and within the past year purchased a house. But to my surprise I was approved for it with a $12,900 limit and a 14.99% APR!! Also, I was reading about this requesting 3x CLI thing after 61 days. So does that mean I can ask for a $38,700 limit after I've had the card for 2 months???

Congrats!

Yes, but asking for more than 25k raises a flag for them and they will require docs from reading the definitive amex thread. Just a heads up.

Congrats, OP!  This number is debatable.  It generally ranges from $25k to $35k and then needing to providing forms (4506T) to verify income.  You can either do it online yourself or call and talk to a CSR, if you're worried.

Re: Amex BCP approval

25k does not always trigger income verification. Plenty of examples on this site to prove so.
