TL;DR: Amex approved (took weeks) a CLI before 6 months but asked me to link my bank account first
I have 3 main amex cards. Delta Reserve, Marriott, and Hilton (though i've switched to mostly Marriott/Delta).
I've been following the forums and have used the 6 month rule for cli requests while also using amex cli transfer tool to move hilton to the other two.
I started Delta Amex with 2500 CL. With the above tactics, it's now above 15K
I started Marriott a few years ago with 10K+ but used amex cli tool to move around to delta and it was at 5K until recently.
The marriott is now 15K (just got cli approved)
I started Hilton with 10K but it's down to less than half of that (moved available to the above two)
Amex just gave me a multi K auto increase on Delta that took me to the latest numbers.
I was at 5K with marriott and I thought why not try the 3x - so I put in for 15K. I still had a month to go before 6 months, but with the auto increase on Delta I figured why not try.
I got hit with a verify financials email. They wanted to link to my bank account. I've seen on the forums that there are worse than this like asking for W2/tax - but they only asked for me to link my bank account. I had nothing to hide, so after some deliberation I did it. It took weeks. I thought it was just a deny - but today it came through. I still have a few weeks left to go before it was 6 months to the day since last CLI request. End of story, they did it - but I had to show them my bank records.
Putting this here for anyone else. I didn't have to wait 6 months, but they definitely wanted bank details. It wasn't quick either. Weeks.
