Amex Hilton Surpass 85,000 Approval

Pts. that is.....

I've been a member since Jan. 2014; started with Green, then I closed.  Opened EDP, Platinum, & PRG over time.

My scores are low 700s.  I've been planning an app day for PenFed, Lowe's & Surpass; but waiting on paid collections to come off EQ & EX.  TU deleted it in days of dispute.

Anywho, I missed out on the 80,000 pt offer.  I'm carrying a balance transfer on my CapOne (about 65%), & so many new accounts!  I wasn't sure if I'd get approved, but I said 'HEY' what the heck!

Approved for $3,100.  Odd number, but I guess they're leaving spending room for the spend requirement?  LOL.. who knows.

I'm not worried about the limit at all, bc I'll be transferring my EDP to it, when it arrives.  I use my PRG more, plus this one.  I mainly stay at Hilton & Marriott properties.

Anyways, I'm happy!!!

*edited  @gdale6, please move to approvals.  Thanks

Guess I was out of it thinking I posted there initially.

Congrats!  Surpass is a good card and is often overlooked. Amex offers more than makes up for my annual fee.

Not sure you can reallocate credit limits upon receiving a new card. .

Thanks CC.
@Cincinnati513 - I'm not sure either, but I read it on another site. I'll check back with data points after I activate.
@Mods. - I thought I posted this in Approvals. Lol
Please move for me. Thanks

@Anonymous > I received & activated my card yesterday.  I attempted a cli $3100 > $9000 (no go).  Probably should have requested only $6200.  My EDP is due for an                                      increase after my stmt cut on the 14th.  I know it's a long shot (no cli on two cards at the same time), but I will try a cli on it next Monday.  Whether denied or                                  approved, I will attempt to reallocate the following day, for data points to see if I am successful, (before the 30 day rule) as stated in another forum.

Re: Amex Hilton Surpass 85,000

Good luck.  I tried reallocating from a year old card to a 3-4 month old card and was denied.  Ended up being able to do CLI on the new card after submitting some paperwork, but was approved within a week.
