In October I got my first post-BK Amex; a BCP with a $15K SL. After that I started looking for pre-approvals but had no luck for a few months. Last month I suddenly started showing a pre-approval for basically every Amex card but I held my fire. I finally gave in yesterday and applied for the Platinum. Instant approval with no HP!! Now I can get rid of my AU Amex Platinum. I will find it pretty easy to recover the $695 AF, between CLEAR membership fees, NYTimes subscription, airline incidentals, and Uber discounts. I travel a lot so it will be totally worth it for me.
