that surprising given your scores. Is there some negative on your file that's holding your limits back? or perhaps income? short history?
+1

Requested to go from 2k to 4k to match a couple of my existing lines. The system came back with 2.6k which is definitely better than a denial.
Any thoughts on whether or not they may send me an ex fico in the mail, given that the request was only partially approved?
Thanks in advance
Not sure if this is covered. An issuer needs to send the score if they deny you a product, or don't give you the best rate (if the credit score played a role in their decision) but this sounds different, in the sense it isn't a formal application. But don't know for sure.
When Amex didn't give me the full CLI I requested, they didn't give me a score, but gave two reasons (card too new, not enough spend) which aren't score based, so hard to tell if a score isn't needed in this case, or if it wasn't given because it didn't impact their decision.

Im currently in grad school and w2 income is only 13k, so coupled with the zync I'm probably hovering around my exposure limit. aaoa is about 3 years and no negatives so income is the main cause of the relatively low limit in my opinion.
I start work full time in the fall at a base salary of 55k so I will be asking for a full 3x cli (7.8k) from them in 6 months.
Once you can start reporting that new income level, your limits will shoot up with a little effort. good luck with the 3xCLI.

Thank you for the reply. Hopefully amex will include a score but given that they did not do so for you (in a similar scenario), it doesn't seem very likely.
I will update either way if/when I recieve a letter.

I will most likely be targeting cl's in the 7.5-10K range (maybe slightly higher) on my exisiting cards starting within the next few months. That was also part of my motivation to ask for a cli on my bce now.. so that a future 3x cli in the fall would put me in the aforementioned range rather than 6k.

Congrats, I would like to also do the same myself. Did you by chance call an automated number for the CLI? Or tried it online? How long have you been a member of Amex? Thanks.
