I think you are being overly cautious. With your scores, one year of good history managing multiple cards and high income you are a shoe in for whatever card you want from AMEX. I would suggest the BCE or the BCP.

With your scores and history this would be a good time to add a total of 2 credit cards to widen and deepen your credit base. If you are approved for an AMEX card I would suggest immediately applying for either a Chase Freedom or Discover IT card.

Don't be discouraged if you get the 7-10 day message. Make sure to recon! People that have thin files tend to get that message and are subsequently approved after doing a recon.

Sound like you are in good shape. What you get now will grow with time and good usage.

Thanks gang, I've learned a lot in a short amount of time from myFICO.  OK, I'm IN!!  Applied for the Enchanced Buisiness Gold Rewards on the phone from a mailer RSVP code app, got approved.  Immediately hung up...smilng....and applied online for the Gold Delta Sky Miles, got approved!!  Once again, thanks for the collective knowledge on this site.

Another question, how do I find out how much my CL is on the sky miles?

Is there anything I should do as in logging in, creating an account, whatever with Amex, or do I have to wait until I physically receive the cards.  Sorry for the newbee questions but I'm thrilled to be IN and probably should holster my enthusiasm and start as you say....gardening

With amex usually you can call in and they will tell you your new CL.

Will do, thanks.  Also, did as jamie123 advised, appt Chase Freedom and got approved.  That will leave me with 3 new cards, 2 HPs and a nice wallet to let settle down and foster.  Time to go gardening and let em grow.
