Hi Everyone, as the title states I was approved for another Capital One increase. This time the increase was for $750. My starting limit at the of request was $8,300 and is now $9,050.
My prior CLI was exactly six months ago, and at that time I was granted a $3,000 CLI, which is not common for Capital One! I suppose my hot streak with them may be over, and I am fine with that! Admittedly, I spent quite a bit less in the last three months. I would say close to half compared to prior spend so I am sure this had an impact.
I toyed with the idea of getting input from the forum before I requested the increase, but decided against it. I know when COVID first hit, Capital One served up quite a bit of CLD's. It appears they targeted credit limits starting at $10k and higher. I knew I had an opportunity for an increase coming up, and I wasn't sure I wanted to go over $10k. This way I do not have to worry about "economic trends" - I do use the card but maybe not enough to justify a $10k limit. So I rather not lose all that has been gained.
So it's a tough one whether I will leave the card as is. It started off at $3500 and I was able to bump it quite a bit in a short amount of time (since late 2020).
Anyway, let me know if you would like me to link my prior approvals.

Congratulations on the edge up with that Capital One CLI!
@CreditMagic7Thank you very much!
@Curious_George2 I am tagging you as you are the closest Capital One expert this forum has!
Thanks for the kind words. Congrats on getting another CLI from CapOne! You have done better than most with them.
I haven't been tracking these in detail for a while, but my sense is they don't demand as much spend as they did in the first year or so of the pandemic. Approximately how much spend did you put on yours these past six months?
That's terrific!! Congratulations on your Cap1 Approval!! 🎉🥂👏
@Curious_George2 The statement cuts around the 21st. Feb statement was $223, January $350, December $261, November $600+
Congratulations on your CAP1 CLI!
