Applied on line for the Diners Club Premier Card on 11/07. Got the 7-15 day message.
Received a letter from Diners Club on 11/14 with my NEW PIN NUMBER!
Received the card via UPS overnight today, 11/18.
Credit Limit = $50K. $50,000! That is insane!
Pulled TU. Current TU 811, with a 10 point ding for the HP, so 821 is what they used.
AAoA = 7+years. Oldest accounts = 4 AMEX to 1991
Prior Util = ~8%
Prior total CL = ~$144K. This makes my total CL at just shy of $200K.
Like I said...this is INSANE! However, I'm not going to dispute it !!!

Congratulations!...Thanks For Sharing.![]()
congrats, wish my app was that quick
Couple of things...
First, thanks to all!
Second, while I didn't think there would be a problem with approval, I didn't expect it to be so quick -- less than 2 week turn around. Having read here and elsewhere about the process others experienced, I figured I might be lucky to hear something by the end of the month, but was truly expecting early December.
Third (more than a couple) -- that CL. Stated income was $60K which I can document. Household income is more like $95K-$110K. Good mix of credit, with some loans paying off in the near future, 42-44 accounts showing on my credit reports, pristine report. Nearly 600 monthly payments on time (according to CK), never a missed payment within the past 7 years (what's showing on my reports). 2 INQ showing on TU when the application made, and those were part of a tri-pull for my daughter's student loans, no credit card apps within the past year pulling TU.
I can't figure out if this CL was granted by a computer, or if there was an underwriter review. Either way, I'm grateful for it, significantly more than my next highest limits. And with this new CL I can start closing some unnecessary accounts as I go in to retirement next year, without adversely affecting my utilisation.
Wow amazing limit.. Take a year off work now, just kidding...
