Hi all,
I decided that my credit profile needed a little facelift (I've had the same 5 credit cards for the last 5+ years) so I decided to go on a mini app spree.
Before the app spree, I had 0 inquiries across the boards and my scores were EX 780, EQ 803, and TU 801. My income is $215K including my annual bonus.
With the exception of Navy, Chase, & GM Marcus, I had to provide POI, SS Card, and proof of address for all of them. Also, Discover required a 4506C.
My results in order of application:
FirstTech $35K World Card (applied in branch)
Chase $5K CSP (applied in branch)
Wells Fargo Reflect (applied in branch) Denied letter sent, received the letter the following week and it said they needed me to unlock EQ.
Unify $5K LOC (applied in branch)
Discover $2000 (applied online) requested 4506C form completed. Account unsuspended the following week.
Langley $10000 (applied online) Cashback credit card & a $22K auto refi. They gave me an awesome interest rate that was not advertised on their website.
NFCU Visa $18K (applied online)
NFCU Amex $1K (applied online
DCU $25000 Visa Platinum (applied online)
Truist Future Card $9000 (in branch)
Truist Cashback $9000 (in branch)
GM Marcus $4500 (GS applied online)
Cap One Savor One $600 (applied online)
Security Service CU $25000 (applied online, took all documents in branch)
(**By the time I responded to Wells Fargo's letter to unlock EQ instead of EX, I was denied due to too many inquiries.**)
Now I guess it's time for me to hibernate or perhaps later work on a CLI or two for another few years.
Very nice spree, congrats! I've been looking into First Tech CU. and the Odyssey Rewards World MC. this past week but haven't pulled the trigger just yet. Congrats again on a nice app spree!
Am I reading the correct 14-15 new account spree within a month?
Congrats if so and time to lay very very very low if so. Chase is know to SP on new card for awhile and many closures due to app spree right after and few other lenders might get alittle uneasy as well. Biggest spree I have seen I think in my time on MF if I read this right
@ CardHunter, Thank you! I have to admit, since this was my first app spree ever, I was extremely nervous, and mentally exhausted once I finished.
With First Tech, it was an instant approval. Once the branch officer faxed my docs over to the UW, my account was funded within minutes.
If you go for it, good luck!!

Congratulations on your approvals! What kind of APR you got on your auto loan refinance if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you! Yes, I had an angel on my shoulder. :-)
To be honest, I did not know any better. I don't quite understand why some gave me really high limits and others only gave me a few hundred but, I'm going to keep my head VERY low for a few YEARS. I think I may need to create a spreadsheet just to keep the new cards active.
@ Aptiger,
Langley gave me 3.99% for the refi. I was originally at almost 7%. I only applied for a $15K credit card, and they countered with $10K CC and an auto refi.
I sent them a copy of my registration and a payoff letter and it was done. They sent the payoff via FedEx to my lender and they added everything to my Langley account the next day.
Congratulations on your Spree approvals! Most i have seen as well on MF as @CreditCuriosity

Congrats! Did C1 really require POI for that $600 triple pulled Savor? Yikes. I've opened over 50 accounts for over $600K, credit cards and installment loans, since filing for BK7 10 years ago and I only once had to provide POI and that was for my very first $500 secured card with BECU. Go figure. You went on what they call a "credit bender."
Hi CH-7-Mission-Accomplished,
Yes, Cap One bugged me a bit. Not because of the POI, but because they pulled all 3credit bureaus for that. However, looking at it from their point of view, they were the second to the last app and with them looking at all 3 bureaus, (instead of a single bureau like most lenders) they saw EVERYTHING I applied for. I thought for sure that was going to be denied.
Hopefully, it will grow over the years.
