I saw the commercial last night for the colored 24" iMac. So I figured today, I would just apply and let the cards fall where they may.
I do not know my score. I CAN tell you, however, that I probably have 50ish inquiries over 24 months (mostly auto), 6/24 and never missed a credit card payment since I became an Amex AU 16 months ago.
Limit is $1500. Added to Wallet and ready to use!
Question though - They subtracted the $1300 some-odd dollars from my available credit. I assume that I get credit back as I make payments? Or will they return that limit to me and just deduct $108ish a month until my installment is done?
Stoked I have made it this far up the food chain as I believe GS is pretty chintzy with approvals.

The 1300 is gone from your available credit. As you make payments, your available credit would increase. What I really don't like is the fact that the 1300 would also be reported to the CRAs. So, by the time your Apple card reports, it would already be maxed out.

As soon as they let me, I plan to cut that installment in half. The 2% CB is way too attractive not to make it (and my Delta Gold) my daily drivers.
But yeah, showing an 85-90% utilization on this card will initially sting, but IMHO it's worth it to finally achieve GS status - without a HP (as of yet).
Congratulations on your Apple Card approval! Enjoy your titanium card and new iMac!

While it stinks that card is basically maxed, it's how most lenders choose to do it now. My guess is they were burned one too many times. The Chase Amazon used to just charge the installment payment, and not full amount, but that ended a few years ago.
