It's been over a year since my last CLI on this card. After getting the card up to $18k, Goldman Sachs/Apple wanted more spend than I was willing to put through it. I think I tried for increases like 2/3 times over the last year. These were all declined due to not enough use of then current limit.
I knew I would be getting a new iPhone/Apple Watch and had some other non-category spend that I could use Apple Pay in September. I figured this would be the best time to see if the DPs regarding spend would help with increases. I ended up with just over $8k (up from the $100/month avg) spend in September. Paid the balance in full right before the statement closed. That was good enough for a $6k increase.
DPs:
SL 08/2019: $8,000
SP 04/2021: $12,000
SP 07/2021: $15,000
SP 10/2021: $18,000
SP 10/2022: $24,000

Congratulations, your strategy paid off!

Congrats on your Apple Card CLI

Congrats on the great bump!! Thanks for the great data points!
If they ever release the new Mac Pro I might get to your level. But I just can't see putting any major spend on that card. The return just isn't there compared to most of my cards. The card sounds great when dropped though, I'll give it that. ![]()
