This is one approval I'm super excited about since it was on my list of goal cards. For the past 2yrs I've applied multiple times every month and always got shut down. But it was an easy access to my free TU Fico score. Last week Thursday, I applied and was declined for, "Recently filed for bankruptcy." 3 days later on Sunday, I reapplied and was declined but this time around, the only reason provided was, "Too many recent inquiries." I thought that was really odd so I kinda brushed it off cos it was still a rejection. Fast forward to today, (4 days since the last denial) I went on the Apple store app, added an iMac to the shopping cart for $2800 and selected the Apple Card monthly installment during checkout fully expecting a denial as usual. Of course, I got the further review message which is almost always followed by the rejection email. Now this is where things took a different turn. 5mins later I got the screen pop to Accept your Apple Card. Man I was shook! And the best part is, it was a SP approval! DP: 653 TU FICO score listed on risk based pricing document. 9% overall utilization, 19 inquiries in last 2years and AAoA 2yrs. Tons of new accounts. I'm still in disbelief but can't wait to grow this baby! How does CLI work with these guys - Goldman Sachs? Does the card grow relatively quick? Thank you!
Congratulations on your approval!
Grats on your new apple card!!!
Congratulations on your apple approval!!
Congratulations on your Apple Card approval! While the approval offer was a SP, expect a HP to later appear on TU.

You're right. 2hrs after approval, I got an alert from TU about an attempted inquiry that was blocked due to my file being frozen. What's gonna happen now? Are they gonna keep trying to pull my credit until they get access?

Did you freeze TU once you accepted the offer?
@FinStar yeah as soon as I accepted the card and set it up on the wallet app, I froze my TU file. Then 2hrs later I got this notification.
