So I decided to take a shot at getting a CLI on Apple Card again today. When I initially applied for the card, I underreported my income by 25% (nontaxable income was supposed to be inflated by 25% and I didn't know that until after I was approved and they were unable to change my income). Well today when I asked for a CLI, they asked for my income and I sent them a picture of my SSDI award letter for 2020 and explained the situation. The rep told me to wait a moment and I got this email.
2X CLI on a card I haven't even been using. Rep messaged me that I would know in 3 days about half a minute later lol. Totally happy with that limit and now when I upgrade my phone, I don't have to pay it off quickly. Asked about APR reductions and they said they aren't doing those as of yet but that they will submit my suggestion.
I also had applied for a CLI from NFCU on Monday night. I didn't actually expect it to be approved given my current income and limits but SP CLIs scratch my app itch so I went YOLO with it. It was over 24 hours before it was approved and I had given up even checking and was just looking to see if the APR was reduced to reflect the prime rate cut last night (that won't happen until 5/1 by the way) but they increased me from $12,700 to $15K on my Platinum which is what I had asked for. Should have asked for more 😂

Both of them use FICO 9 and I don't know what my TU9 is but my TU8 is 782 and my EQ9 is 783 so I wouldn't be surprised to have my TU9 around 800 since TU doesn't have my BK and EQ does.
Totally thrilled with these increases! ![]()
Congratulations on your approval's!
Guess what?
"Should have asked for more"
Congratulations!
Congrats!
Was expecting to see an Apple CLI post from you after everyone elses! ![]()
Congrats on your approvals!

Thanks!
Yeah I figured it was worth taking another shot but I wasn't sure if they could update income yet or not and I knew that was likely what was holding me back. $23K is significantly more than $18K!
This $2500 CLI is gonna cost me $1500 or so though because I have no excuse not to get a new phone this year now 😂

Yeah it's the exact number I was wanting to get so I'm totally thrilled!
WS, Citi, Target, and DCU are on notice - I don't want any cards under $2K when I apply for my Cash+ in October. If I don't get some CLIs I'm going to go chop happy. 😂
