Apple Card approval on a very thin file

Got my 3rd card: Apple Card with a 3k SL @ 21.99% APR! Accepted the offer because I feel I'm not in the position to be choosy with my credit card approvals given my 6 month credit history. Smiley LOL

Datapoints: EX FICO9 727 | TU FAKO 689 | AoOA 6 months | 1% Util | Six figure salary | G&S Marcus account holder

The Apple Card wasn't initially part of my plan in starting my credit journey. I pulled the trigger to use it as a secret credit line since they only report and pull TU (want to build up that TU score because I plan on applying for a Citi DC in a year and read they pull TU where I live). The prospect of them reporting to EQ and EX in the future was also a factor as I've heard they plan to do this by end of year.

I was planning to go for the Amex BCE within the next 2 months. Not worried about them seeing the Apple Card HP since Amex usually pulls Experian. Thoughts? Smiley Happy

Re: Apple Card approval on a very thin file

I tried the other day and got prequals for a couple of Delta cards and I think the Cash Magnet card, but no BCE. Was thinking about a cold app.

@Anonymous  Usually .. If you pre-qualify for the other revolvers, you are good to go on the BCE !

They all have the same UW criteria.  I think you already have it figured outSmiley Happy I would cold app.Smiley Wink

Gotcha. Thanks @M_Smart007 ! Might go for it at the end of the month when another month of payments have been reported. I'll keep the forum posted!
