Full time student (22), I started my credit journey 1 year ago (11/2018) with a Gold Amex ($3000 Pay over time) I got through Global Transfer service. It's been very useful in building credit and the rewards have been great. Shortly after (12/2018) I got a Deserve Edu with a low limit - $300 that has grown to $1000 now.
Discover pre approved me for the IT Miles with a $2000 limit 0% intro APR (07/2019) and I took it.
A few days ago I tried my luck with the Apple Card and was approved for $5000 with a high 23% APR but I won't carry a balance on this card.
As I have no travel (hotels, uber, etc) card I'm planning to get the Green Amex (soft pull) before the Apple card reports. However this would put me on 5/24 and bye-bye Chase.

It's a marathon not a sprint!
Congrats on your Apple Card approval!
Congrats on the approval!!
Make sure you get the green with the 45k SUB. That pays for the AF for 3 years
Grats!
Hey @SnickF Quick question, relatively new in the credit game. You said "I'm planning to get the Green Amex (soft pull)", How would you be able to apply for this card without a Hard pull? Will Amex only do a soft pull when you already have one of their Charge Cards and apply for another charge?
Thanks!
In general Amex doesn't do hard pulls for existing members, but it can happen. I have 5 Amex hard pulls this year, but my last two Amexes were approved without hard pulls.
