Strange things have been happening with this card for awhile now. Grats on getting it approved
@cr101 did it say u don't qualify or did it say they couldn't complete your prequal blah blah? Bc my sister got a similar msg and she went ahead and applied anyway and was approved. She got a limit of 1300 but I think that's more bc of her income.

It said, "Unfortunately, you are not pre-qualified for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature Card."
I'm not going to apply, though. I was more curious and wondering if it would tell you the limit beforehand. I was also wondering if others got the same denial via the prequal, but had success with the app. So, thanks for the data point!

I fell outside the 5/24 and did not get a prequalified approval before applying...got approved for 31K

It's all in the name of science
Congratulations on your approval!
Seeing all of these +5/24 approvals here and on another forum and having seen a couple whose DP were 12/24 and 18/24 makes me want to pull the trigger myself. But even though all my scores are 700's+ and my CC usage is at 4% with 8 inq across the board I'm hesitate to apply because I'm also at 12/24 and 8 in last 6 months. Mainly because I added 3 more AmEx cards and the Verizon Visa Signature. I know it's a crap shoot, but Thoughts?

Well I did it in the name of science and now I'm wishing I hadn't! Got the 30 Day Notice AND Double Pull (Equifax and Experian) which dropped my Experian score 10 points! Geez a triple waste!
UPDATE: Called the automated 800# and it verified the 30 Days but then ended saying I'd get an answer with 2 weeks. Guess we wait and see. Hopefully I didn't waste losing 10 points
