But even though all my scores are 700's+ and my CC usage is at 4% with 8 inq across the board I'm hesitate to apply because I'm also at 12/24 and 8 in last 6 months. Mainly because I added 3 more AmEx cards and the Verizon Visa Signature. I know it's a crap shoot, but Thoughts?
I don't even know what to think about Chase right now. There is some indication it isn't just Amazon-maybe other cobranded cards are less restricted right now. That is something I really wish I had known...Good luck on whatever you decide.
Ok, so I replied before reading everything. My bad. Sorry no instant approval for you.

Doo it. Dooo it. 😈
Do it for science.
Well I did it in the name of science and now I'm wishing I hadn't! Got the 30 Day Notice AND Double Pull (Equifax and Experian) which dropped my Experian score 10 points! Geez a triple waste!
UPDATE: Called the automated 800# and it verified the 30 Days but then ended saying I'd get an answer with 2 weeks. Guess we wait and see. Hopefully I didn't waste losing 10 points
Congrats on your other approvals over the last two years. For the 2020's that's honestly a large number of approvals, making most banks more cautious about granting additional cards. We aren't in the same environment as 2015
Congrats on your Amazon card approval!

Thanks and Yep I'm fully aware of all of that and hence why I originally said I was very reluctent to apply.

Just curious to know if you ever hear back? Possibly got approved after the fact? As a side note, I took a chance and applied for a second cobranded card from Chase in early December based on the fourm notes. Applied for the Southwest card and got the 2 week notice- we will get back to you. It took about 3 weeks but I was approved for card at 20K.

Yes after almost 4 weeks I finanly got an answer. It stayed at "will be notified in two weeks" for 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden it changed to 7-10 Days out of nowhere and we all know what that means. I called and CS was of little help. another week and half goes by and I finally get a letter DENIED due to "too much available credit" even though my reports clearly show I PIF and don't carry balances and consistantly only use a max of 6% of that available "too much credit".
So the moral to the story the "Two week" notification isn't the "almost for sure approval" folks have stated it is.
