Sorry for all the questions, but any idea what are the best starter cards from AMEX? Trying to decide between the Green and Gold charge cards and BCE, BCP or other revolvers. Which are easier to get for beginners first time with AMEX?

The charge cards all gave the same UW. Charge cards are said to be easier to receive than revolvers.
What type of cc are you looking for?

You should consider the benefts that would be more applicable to your situation rather than just open a card for just trying to "get in". Granted, some of them can be downgraded down the road or PC'd accordingly. This will depend on your spending patterns and whatnot.

Anyone know of any good Amex sign up offers this month?
Amex HHonors Surpass 75k points after $3k in purchases. AF not waived ($75), but I still think it's a steal for the benefits you get.
The cards I would like from AMEX are SPG and Platinum card, but I don't think im ready to apply for those yet. I don't mind the PRG as it has the best rewards, but not sure if I will qualify for that either. As for the revolver, the card I really want is SPG, but I don'tmind a cash back card like the BCE or BCP (trying to decide between AF or not).
To be honest, I just want to get in with AMEX and think its best in January for the backdating.
Also, some updates after checking all my financials today.
EQ score is up to 724. CK is down to 693 (Chase reported).
On credit report pulled from EQ today- I have Utilization of 15% including AU and 2% excluding AU. AMEX SPG isnt reported on my CR yet.
Current balances- I have a utilization of 20% including AU and 6% excluding AU. Again with AMEX SPG. I dont know the SPG balance..it can be 1,000-10,000.
Also, when I do "Your special card offers" on AMEX website, nothing comes up.
If it is your first Amex, going in Jan has no special advantage as far as subsequent backdating works.

It is my first Amex, but I am an AU on my dads since Novemebr-13. This should give me an open date of 1/13 if I apply this month.

Unfortunately, only for Account Holders but your MSD will be 2013

His MSD and opening date on CRs for HIS card would be 01/2013
