I am wondering if you should have selected the flagship if you were looking for a higher SL. The rep said you were approved for all unsecured and the flagship min is 5k (correct me if I'm wrong)

Congrats your new card !!!

I highly doubt they would get the Flagship since their starting line is 600.

Well I’m just saying cause they were preapproved for all unsecured cards.

Hi, and thank you!! I don't know what their flagship is, eeek!I was thinking I wouldn't get approved for AMEX since my SSN is attached to a defaulted business card.

The nfcu Amex is not tied to a defaulted amex that you were on/had.

You can also get them to get you into the Quicksiver card to avoid the AF. I did eventually. Everything else remains the same and you'll still be on their Platinum card system.

Yes, that is what I was just reading in the thread. For now, the link isn't working for me but I'll keep trying. When I log in after clicking the link it just says 2 more statements and I'll get a CLI to $2,000.

Thanks!!

Really? I didn't know that. I thought all Amex cards were connected to the Amerian Express company.

I didn't use no stink'n link. I called and said that I would like to PC to the NO AF QS card. It took me a few calls to finally reach somone that cared enough to make the switch. It was pretty easy to do and over all the process didn't take that long once I had the right person.

IMHO - The link is too impersonal and maybe something else is available for your card. Like a temporary 7 month APR% reduction. Not sure if an algorithm could or would pick up on that.

Good Luck!

No only american express cards issued directly through them (centurion bank) are truly amex cards.

Although I love navy sometimes their reps can be misinformed. With flagship min being 5K and the OP getting a starting line of 600 I don't believe they would qualify.
