Finally, I feel like I am almost back in prime time world!

Today I took the plunge and applied after receiving numerous pre-selected offers in the mail. Initial credit line is $1500 - may be somewhat low, but it is a ready for prime time card! Took me a year to start making some progress on my credit reports and so happy about this.

ive been getting lots of pre approvals too.

so far the reps have been nice (with my dad) and such, seems like a great company but im in the garden until new years soo...

Congrats. $1500 is actually pretty decent with Discover. I started with 1000 and got an CLI with no HP in about 6-7 months.

Discover customer service is best I have ever seen. The call gets to a real person in the US in less than 2 minutes (the system tells you in which state is the call center are they connecting you to). The executives are polite and understanding.

I even had a time when I had a fraud on my Discover card it took just about 7 minutes from the time I called up to the point when the issue was resolved. They even sent me a new card overnight (saturday delivery) for free.
