Approved Nordstrom Card, Great SL, How to get Visa? Data Points!

Hey guys was in Nordstrom today and decided to app for there card to get the store discount. I was immediately approved for $7400 limit.

Pretty surprised since my highest limit is only $2500. I know, its only a store card.. lol

I actually wanted the Visa but they didn't give me the option.

Been reading around, do they still offer Visa upgrades? I keep getting told I have to do another application...

They pulled Experian btw.

From what I understand the upgrades are no longer happening. And if it didn't offer you the Visa option on the first app-you're not likely to get it with a second app so soon. But great SL on the store card!

Congrats on the approval! When I had my Target card (a TD Bank-issued retail card), it was uprgraded to the MasterCard within a year. I would garden with the card and PIF as much as possible—they may upgrade really soon.
