I'd been hovering over this card offer all week, every time I logged into my PayPal account. I really wanted the card but was afraid I could be denied because of the 3 new cards I recently opened, 6 weeks ago. But yesterday I got a new  update on my TransUnion FICO score from Discover. With the tax liens erased, TU has risen 80 points, from 639 to 719.

So I slept on it, then hit Apply Now this morning. Approved! I love that word! I'm an online seller so I hope this card will be useful. The straightforward 2% cashback will be quite nice, without fiddling around with categories.

This card is a grower with SP CLIs. I got some movement the first time I tried (60 day mark) with minimal use.

That's awesome man your CL came out pretty well compared to mine. For another data point, I applied after opening 3 Amex cards in the same day and 2 Citi cards earlier in the week, and was approved for the Paypal card, but I had to call to verify my identity and I was only approved for a $300 CL - this was on the phone so he didn't specify if that was temporary or the total limit he just said the limit is $300, unless I missed something. But either way, it's cool I'll take it for now give me the seedling I'll grow the tree lol.

That’s awesome. I’ve had this card for about four months now. I started with traditional PayPal credit because I bought something that was like 600 bucks and it said apply for PayPal credit interest free for six months. So I did it. After I paid it off I had an invitation for this card and was instantly approved with the same credit limit. It has been fantastic.

Even though the card hasn't arrived in the mail yet, today I received alerts that the new account is already reporting to the credit bureaus. Is that par for Synchrony?

Also, the alerts show it as a PayPal "Extras" Mastercard. But my account page says "Cashback" which is what I applied for, not the Extras card.

Should I be worried about any of this?

I have the 2% PayPal Card and it reports to all three bureaus as PayPal Extras. No worries.

Synchrony reports super quick. Second only to Barclays.
