So I went online to purchase an iPad at Apple and decided to try my luck at getting the Apple card. I filled out the app and it told me I was approved and to either accept or decline the offer. I took the offer and my purchase went through.
About 2 hours later, I got an email from TU saying a company tried to pull a credit report as part of a new credit application, but it was refused because my accounts are locked. It then said to unlock the reports and contact the company and have them rerun the application.
I called Apple and they connected me to GS and the lady on the phone told me I would just have to reapply all over again....I said to her are you sure....I placed an order and I don't want to do it again and have 2 iPads purchased. She asked me some identity questions and looked up the account and told me...I see your Apple order and it went through. Told me the credit limit and what I have charged to it and told me not to worry about unlocking my reports, cause everything looks fine.
So, I guess I am getting this card with no HP. I'll keep you updated. We'll see if she was correct or if I will end up getting a call or letter or email telling me they can't ship my iPad till I unlock my reports.
