Gardening is hard....approved for 7.5k with 15.24% apr(this is why you should garden).  They pulled EX(my worst score of 3). Score pre-approval EX 8 was 790. Inquiries pre-approval-2/6, 2/12, 9/24.  accounts pre-approval -1/6,  4/12, 10/24. Ok now I am going into the garden and avoiding all credit card mailers.

Congratulation....SL is not bad at all...Its good though, in my opinion....Besides, so long you are in, you will always have enough opportunity to get CL increased and  may even request to get APR lowered....And there is never a guarantee that one will definately be able to get higher CL and/or lower APR even if accounts are aged or no inquiries...no recent accounts...Its just there is never a guarantee. I personally take this and run...Cheers....

Re: BBVA Approval

Thanks everyone! I did get the targeted 18 months 0% apr balance transfer with 4% fee and 18 months 0% apr on purchases. And the sub 1500 spend for 100 credit.

Congrats on your BBVA approval, @Anonymous!  Smiley Very Happy

Yes, maybe not the best terms you could have gotten if you had waited, but at least you have your foot in the door with them.  Both the limit and apr can be improved upon as you grow it.

Now, ... back to the garden! Smiley Wink

I don't know for sure, but yesterday I happened to call their customer service to inquire the very same question on behalf of my family member who has this card. The representative, who was working from home, did say that this bank does and can lower APR on a case by case basis upon review of the account. So, I assume they do lower APRs. If I were you, then I would wait at least for 6 months or more before requesting to have lower APRs. I find this bank kinda generous. My family member recently requested CLI and got 60% right away without showing much action...of course with a HP....

Re: BBVA Approval

Ok thanks! I don't think I can ask for a lower apr until 18 months because of the promo. BBVA will be with PNC then and I heard it was a no go with them. It's fine. I won't be doing a cli because it's a hard pull. I just better hope for an auto cli.
