I've been following these forums for quite a while for tips on improving my credit score. 3 years ago I had a 585 credit score. I've been working hard to pay down my balances and get my baddies from college off of my CR. Obtained a BofA secured card of $500 in 2010 and slowly got that moved to a unsecured. 4 months ago I was able to get my utilization down to 10% and went and applied for a CLI from $2k to $6k and BofA approved it. Credit Karma said I had a 670 and "Fair" chance of approval on CSP and Chase Freedom. Fico had me at EX 697, TU 697 and EQ 688. I went to the Chase prequalify and it offered CSP, Freedom and Slate. I figured this was just another way of getting me to apply for something that I wouldn't be approved for but after reading the forums I decided to give it a shot. Instant approval on the CSP for $12k and $9k on the Freedom Signature. Extremely happy with this, proud of my hard work, and happy to be able to post this on the same forum that helped me get back to where I needed to be.
