Approved for Hilton Surpass Amex!

Hello myficoers,

I recently posted that my chapter 13 is discharged as of 8/1. I wasn't actively seeking credit since I had my heart set on an Amex card. I was patiently waiting for that 61 months from the filing date which would be on 8/20.

Well, after checking my scores, I decided to play around with pre-qual/approvals from Cap One. They paid me dust until I was discharged and they offered me secured card options. I passed that up.

I decided to try my hand at Amex and did the pre-qual. Usually, I get nada for the obvious reasons, but this time the Hilton cards popped up. So, I said what the heck, I'll try it and the worst that can happen is a decline after a soft pull. Well...I was approved! It's only 1k limit, but I am just happy to be in with Amex finally. Back to the garden I go.

They pulled EX and TU fico 8. My EX is 697 and TU is 676.
