The UW said the same thing to me. Idk. I can only speak to the things that happen with me. I'm happy for those who received instant approvals. When I called, I didn't ask about the approval. I only wanted to verify that they had received my application. I was ending the call when Tabitha told me I was approved and SL.

Thank you!
I am very happy with it. It's my highest SL to date.
My dad applied for this card last week at our local branch and was instantly approved for $5,900 and his card arrived yesterday!!
He is going to transfer his balance from his bank of america card so he will finally pay his bank of america card off as he has hold me before he "hasn't pad off the card in years" so he will finally get to do that and get 0% for 15 months to pay it off once its transfered to PNC!
I have the CashBuilder since December 2013 and it was a manual approval i had to call underwriting several times and they finally looked at it and approved it at that time for $500 and later months later got it increased to $1,500 where it sits now and i'm not asking for an increase with them anytime soon, they seem to be strict with me, but at any rate having that card they were able to see into my credit world which helped approve me for my auto loan.

They definAtely do instant approvals I was also recently instant approved for a cash builder with a $15k limit that was also automatically upgraded to a visa signature. Its amazing how much wrong info.you can get from cust.service reps.I think sometimes instead of telling people they don't know the answer to a question they just make something up.
Congratulations on your instant approval and SL for the PNC Cashbuilder!!!
I apped for this last night and came back Instant Denied. I bet that they pulled a CRA that i have a safety freeze on. It's the only other time i ever seen this.
Looks like a pretty decent card. Do you know which bureau they pulled for you?
Congrats! on the approval! ![]()
EDIT: Data points: They pulled EX. Per UW, it doesn't matter where you are located they pull EX. If EX is not available, then they pull TU
^ It will be interesting if they indeed done the denial to see why and also get a new free score ![]()

Congratulations on your PNC approval and high SL! I'd be curious to see how well you'll like this product in the long run coupled with your VW relationship. It appears this one might be more appealing (for me at least) vs. their other CCs. But, we'll see. I'm going to put this one as a "possibility" for next year *maybe* ![]()
IIRC, most of their apps usually end up in some sort of manual review but I've heard that on some instances they can approve instantly.

Hello CM7! Sorry I didn't respond before, but I am just seeing your post. Which CRA did they pull for you? Why were you denied? Did you recon their decision?
Thanks again for the congrats!
