Hello all, been a long while since I've posted. I ended up killing my credit 5 years ago after paying more attention to my father that passed than keeping my accounts in good standing. Let several laps to 120 days.
ended up paying them back but the damage was done. During that time I kept my secured discover and unsecured cap1 in outstanding shape.
to date my discover is STILL secured.", git it in 2016. And cap one has denied every CLI I've ever asked for.

last night I applied for a mission visa and was approved for 1000.00. At the instant I was approved I got a message from Amex that a hard inquiry was made. I had signed up for their free credit score thing. I logged into the Amex free credit score account and saw cards recommended for you and that was way different than before so I plugged info in for any prequal offers...
low and behold a delta sky miles came up. That's different from times past!!!
figuring I had zero shot and knowing I'm not gonna apply until 2024, I sent the app. It came back with do you want any authorized users? I clicked skip and low and behold APPROVED for 1000.00.
stats are 628 TU, fico 8, that's who they checked and 731 vantagescore 3 TU. I FINALLY got a foot in with Amex!
I've about given up on cap one, stuck at 1300 line for 5 years and discover won't unsecure me at my 2500 line.
zero lates etc fir the past two years. Several lates and derogatory from 2017. They all will fall off in 2024. All bass paid however with outstanding payment history on cap and discover.

April 15 2015 EQ 630.. rebuild credit journey, zero baddies, 13 year credit age, 4 years aa. current scores June 1 - EQ 709, EX 679, TU 754. in the garden til 10/15.. venture card is in my sights!
