Approved for first Amex BCE and Chase question

I just was approved for a new auto loan and shortly after the sale, I applied for the Amex BCE and got instant approval with a $1000 SL and 0% APR for 15 months.

Really excited about the rewards but is Amex accepted everywhere?  Will I have trouble using it?

I also applied for a Chase Freedom card but that was not instantly approved and I got the 7-10 day message when I called for status updates in the application.

My scores prior to applying for auto loan were 663 EQ,662 TU, 665 EX.

There were a few inquiries as we negotiated so I expect my score to dip.

How long should I wait to try again for Chase if that is not approved?

I want a Visa or MC with a SL of $1000 with no AF.  No pre-approved offers from Us bank, Citi or BOA and I don't want to waste HP if I don't have to.

Should I try a credit union? Or my personal bank? Or even Wells Fargo which is financing my auto loan?

Congratulations on your new Amex card.  As long as your within 5/24 (5 cards in the last 24 months), and you get your fico scores above 670, that should improve your odds.  Have patience you're on the right track!!

Personally I think credit unions are your best bet to get that $1000 SL.  That's from my own experience.  Good luck!!!

Amex is pretty widely accepted these days. I've only run into one place that didn't take Amex to this point. I live in the city, but generally traverse the whole state I live in and have never had issues anywhere. Acceptance outside of the US is much lower however.
