Approved for second DiscoverIt! What are the CLI rules for discover?

After about 6 years with a DiscoverIt with a 1k SL that would never increase and never a preapproval on the Discover prequalification site, this morning I finally had an offer. Pulled the trigger and got a second DiscoverIT with 9k SL!!!

Now that I have it, hopefully it increases unlike the first one. What are the general discover CLI rules? Is there a thread like the AMEX or NFCU threads? I searched but couldn't find one.

The only real rule w/ Discover is a fairly new one, in that they no longer do CLI's for new accounts in the first year.  Other than that they're pretty inscrutable and don't seem to follow any particular logic, which is why there's no master thread for them.  Their CLI's are SP, so after the first year you can pretty much request whenever you feel like it and they may or may not give you one.

CLI rules = None! .. just poke away after 12 months.

ETA: I stand corrected on the 12 months.

Congrats on the approval!!! As stated, new card must wait 12 billing statements before CLI request. Once 12th statement posts you can ask for increase.

You'll be able to start requesting CLIs after you have the card for one year. You also might get an auto-CLI after your 12th statement cut.
