B of A Cash Rewards CLI, finally after 18 years wi... - myFICO® Forums

Hello All,

I, too, continue to see the request a credit line increase on my B of A website. I hasve never pushed it. This account was opened as a seured card 18 years ago. About 2 years after opening it, B of A changed it to unsecured but did not mess with the CL. I got an email last night from myFICO alerting me that B of A increased the CL from $500 to $2,500. I assume I woill get a letter in the mail explaining it. My scores have been hovering around 655 to 682 across the spectrum.

Nice to wake up to a free CLI without an inquiry. Sure wish this was done years ago, but I managed my accounts well and keep utilizastion at around 11%.

Bank of America has gotten very conservative. Way back in the day they trusted a lot easier and they were more generous. But i think the Great Recession took a major toll on many of the lenders in states. Now they want to make sure before they take a chance on a customer and especially with someone new like I once was.
